The UAE Consulate is open in Milan and is competent for the following Italian Regions: Valle d’Aosta, Piemonte, Liguria, Lombardia, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Emilia Romgna.
Please note that for the representations of the United Arab Emirates in Italy, territorial jurisdiction is not inflexible and the representations of Rome and Milan could also accept documents outside their specific competence. Any operational indications therefore vary over time.
All the documents to be legalised by the UAE Embassy must be first attested by the competent Italian authorities: depending on the type of document, a prior legalisation by the Prefecture Office, or by the Public Prosecutor’s Office or by the Chamber of Commerce is required.
Certificates of origin and invoices must be first legalized only by the Italian Chamber of Commerce before being legalized by the UAE Consulate; prior attestation by the Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce is NO MORE REQUIRED.
In order to legalize documents, the Consulate requires the payments of taxes which vary according to the type of document to be legalized.
