It is not possible to legalise documents drafted only in Italian.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sworn translations will have to be obtained<\/strong>\u00a0of any certificates issued in Italian before they are presented to the Consulate.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Egypt\u2019s ministerial provisions, the Egyptian Consulate is required to\u00a0<strong>legalise both the original document as well as the translation of the document<\/strong>, and will therefore add two legalisations.<\/p>\n<p>The original document must be\u00a0<strong>prior attested by the<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Prefecture Office<\/strong>, by the\u00a0<strong>Public Prosecutor<\/strong>\u2019s Office or the\u00a0<strong>Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>. Sworn translations must be prior attested by the Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible to legalise true copies of documents, with the exception of school attendance certificates, which must be legalised first by the Director of Education and then at the Prefecture before having a sworn translation done, which is then endorsed by the Public Prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>The Consulate does not accept sworn translations of photocopies of documents.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Consulate\u2019s rate for legalising a personal document originally drawn up in English\/French\/Arab or as a bilingual text is \u20ac 35,00.<\/p>\n<p>The Consulate\u2019s rate for legalising a personal document originally drawn up in Italian with its sworn translation is \u20ac 70,00 (=\u00a0\u20ac 35,00 +\u00a0\u20ac 35,00).<\/p>\n<p>The Consulate\u2019s rate for legalising commercial or corporate documents is \u20ac 80,00.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/italiancertificates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/timbro-legalizzazione-consolato-egitto.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1769\" title=\"timbro-legalizzazione-consolato-egitto\" src=\"http:\/\/italiancertificates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/timbro-legalizzazione-consolato-egitto-212x300.jpg\" alt=\"visto-legalizzazione-consolato-egitto\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Consulate of Egypt\u00a0legalises documents, which\u00a0must be drafted in English or French, or be a\u00a0bilingual text\u00a0(Italian-English; Italian-French; Italian-Arabic).
